The back extension is an advanced exercise to strengthen the lower back muscles.


Starting_position74

Step 1 - Starting Position

Brace your feet against a wall and rest your stomach and chest on a ball with your back rounded. Place your hands on the floor.

Straighten_your_back75

Step 2 - Straighten your Back

Keeping your feet braced against the wall, straighten your back and lift your chest off the ball keeping your arms straight out over your head.

Return_to_the_starting_position76

Step 3 - Return to the Starting Position

Slowly return to the starting position.
