Prone Superman
Difficulty: Intermediate
The prone superman is a simple exercise that strengthens the lower back muscles.

Step 1 - StartStar face down on the mat with your arms extended above your head. |

Step 2 - Lift your Chest and FeetUsing your back muscles, lift your chest, hands, head, and entire leg off the mat. Do not lift as high as you can go; lift only enough so that your thighs and chest are off the mat. Hold this position for 1 to 30 seconds. |
|
Step 3 - Return to the Starting PositionRelax your muscles until your are fully on the mat. Repeat. |
